  • In this special and interesting session regarding Novel treatment for epilepsy ,the audience will learn about the use of gene therapy ,stem cells and the P-glycoprotein Inhibitors in epilepsy by 3 leading experts in their respective fields ;the audience will also know about the antiepileptic devices like vagal nerve stimulation and many others used in epilepsy treatment and also the advance in therapy of epileptic encephalopathies in children. Dr Emilio Perucca ,an international expert in neuropharmacology ,will close this session by explaining what will be the epilepsy treatment in the future (precision medicine )

Plenary session VI

Keynote speakers

  • In this keynote session ,you will learn about the ongoing genetic research regarding status epilepticus and its complications you will also know about the new treatment of seizures namely seizure in children like LENNOX Gastaux Syndrome and Dravet syndrome by one of the leading expert in the world ,Pr Martin Brodie from UK, usisng Cannabis.

Plenary session V

Epilepsy: Semiology, Clinical, AEDs

  • In this Clinical and antiepileptic drugs session ,you will learn about the newest antepileptic drugs recently introduced in the market ,their efficacy and treatment indications ;you will also know about the complications and consequences of Non-adherence with antiepileptic drugs like frequent seizures ,status epilepticus and even death !! More importantly ,you will also know how to use Antiepileptic drugs and how to combine them together and ovoid side effects ;finally you will learn about self- induction of epileptic seizures in epileptic patients by one of the leading expert in the world in this domain

Plenary session VI

Epilepsy: Semiology, Clinical epilepsy

  • You will learn about automatisms in epilepsy particularly in temporal lobe epilepsy and also about the clinical presentation of psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) which behave like seizures without EEG abnormalities ; you will also know about the antiepileptic devises used in epilepsy by one of the leading expert in the field ,Dr Paul Boon from Belgium .

Third day (16th February 2019):

Plenary session VII

  • In this session regarding clinical epilepsy ,you will learn about the coexistence of focal and generalized epilepsy by one of the leading epileptologist in the USA ,Dr M.koubeissi from Georges Washington University at Washington as well as complicated temporal lobe epilepsies and autoimmune epilepsies which are frequently missed and misdiagnosed .Finally , a well- known epidemiologist specialized in epilepsy will teach you in details the epidemiology of epilepsy in the world
